My Cancer Registry is excited to announce our first fundraiser!
Sabina and Audrey discussed a formal ball to benefit pediatric cancer in December of 2021 – 11 months before Sabina was diagnosed with cancer and 7 months before I joined Compass Real Estate. These teen besties contacted Dover Hall for pricing, chose the name of the event (black white ball), decided on their attendees (teenagers), and researched their outfits (formal gowns). But too bashful to plan such a huge endeavor, they tucked their plans away without telling us.
Was it fate? I joined a black & white company (Compass is our first sponsor), Sabina was diagnosed and fought cancer (she is in remission), and the girls learned that Dover Hall allows charity organizations special opportunities (We’re booked for April). What’s more, we feel that God led us to create My Cancer Registry in response to the need to answer the question, “How can I help?” for pediatric cancer families. Finally, Libby Dishner, Audrey’s mother volunteered to be on our Board of Directors and to serve as Chairperson. We knew we needed to honor the girls’ initial dream as they create a chance to lift their community at St. Catherine’s and St. Christopher’s. Our private school community loves to serve and support.
This fundraiser allows us to teach local teens how to do charitable giving. It also raises the funds that we need to complete our website and help our mission launch across the USA. The event will bring 300 high school students to mingle with 100 sponsor guests to learn how to do philanthropic giving. We begin with mock-tails, proceed to a three-course meal, and dance through the night and play casino games.
We have three sponsorship levels and are eager for companies to support our cause and help spread comfort to pediatric cancer patients, families, and friends.
Teenager Tickets – $300 for a pair or $200 for a single ticket
White Sponsor – $1,000 – 2 tickets, small T-shirt logo, program mention, website promotion, professional photographs of event participation
Black Sponsor – $5,000 – 6 tickets, medium T-shirt logo, half-page program ad, table at event, professional photographs of event participation
Platinum Sponsor – $7,500 – 10 tickets, large T-shirt logo, full-page program ad, table at event, professional photographs and videography of event participation
